Gerda Leopold studied painting at the HdK Berlin before founding AMILUX Film in Vienna, where she directs and produces innovative works at the intersection of cinema and immersive media. She realized the 360° feature “Carrousel” and the VR film “Ballavita”, which premiered in Venice in 2018. The feature “A Matter of Perspective” was created in 2020 from the same material as “Carrousel”. Further projects include the VR experience “Visiting James Simon”, the award-winning feature “Fabian or Going Down the Dogs”, and the MR experience “Gargoyle Doyle”, both as co-producer.

AMILUX Film is dedicated to expanding and enriching storytelling through the use of the latest technology. In 2025, “EGON SCHIELE – A Personal Experience”, an interactive VR experience, was released.

Gerda Leopold studierte zunächst Malerei an der HdK Berlin, bevor sie AMILUX Film in Wien gründete. Sie realisierte den 360°-Spielfilm “Carrousel” und den VR-Film “Ballavita”, der 2018 in Venedig Premiere feierte. Der Spielfilm “Eine Sache der Perspektive” entstand 2020 aus dem gleichen Material wie “Carrousel”. Weitere Projekte sind die VR-Experience “Visiting James Simon”, der preisgekrönte Spielfilm “Fabian oder der Gang vor die Hunde” und die MR-Experience “Gargoyle Doyle”, jeweils als Co-Produzentin.

AMILUX Film hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, das Storytelling mithilfe neuester Technologien zu erweitern und zu bereichern. Im Jahr 2025 wurde “EGON SCHIELE – Eine persönliche Begegnung”, eine interaktive VR-Experience, veröffentlicht.
