CIKE is an independent organization established by the City of Kosice to utilize the creative cross-sector collaboration between art, culture, science, and creative businesses, through use of digital technologies, for improving the quality of life in the city. CIKE implements urban transformation led by art and culture. CIKE operates at the intersection of open innovation, media art, new technologies, business capacity building, research, education, and citizens engagement to deliver solutions, co-designed and co-owned by all, for building resilient, sustainable, inclusive, open, and democratic communities. CIKE connects artists, entrepreneurs, academics, city officials and citizens to work together, and provides them with opportunities for international cooperation. CIKE develops professionalization, educational and up/reskilling trainings, mobility, and residency programs. CIKE showcases new media art, site specific installations, and VR/AR/AI/data-based artworks and brings new trends and high-level speakers to Kosice during an annual Art & Tech Days festival & conference. CIKE is a focal point of Kosice in UNESCO Creative Cities of Media Art network, founding partner of EIT Culture and Creativity KIC, founding member of ECBN, and associate member of TEH.
